Terms of Service

The service

The GreenTokens platform is a unified API platform for accessing multiple model providers, through OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible endpoints. We provide platform API keys, routing, billing and a dashboard for usage and account settings.

• You receive GreenTokens platform API keys and do not receive providers' raw upstream credentials.
• Models, prices, routing, rate limits and features may change, be limited, be offered in preview, or be discontinued at any time.

Accounts

You sign in with your email address. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement and must give us an email address you control.

• You are responsible for everything done through your account and your API keys, and for keeping your email inbox secure.
• You may not sell, rent, lend or share your account.
• If you suspect unauthorised access, a leaked key or unexpected charges, revoke the affected keys and contact us at support@greentokens.io straight away.

API keys

API keys may only be used by applications, services and systems you are authorised to control. You are responsible for storing, rotating and restricting them.

• The full key is shown once, when you create it. After that we keep only a hash and a short masked form for display.
• Don't embed keys in public clients, frontend code, browser extensions or anywhere else a third party could extract them.
• You can set daily and monthly spend limits, pause or revoke a key at any time. You remain responsible for usage that happened before a key was paused or revoked.

Balance, payments and billing

The GreenTokens platform works on a prepaid balance in US dollars. There is no subscription and no monthly fee.

• Top-ups: You add funds with cryptocurrency through a third-party payment processor. The minimum top-up is $20. Your balance is credited once the payment is confirmed on its network.
• Your responsibility: Check the amount, asset and network before paying. On-chain payments can't be reversed, and an underpaid invoice isn't credited automatically; contact support if that happens.
• Usage charges: Requests are charged on the token usage the provider reports, at the prices published on our models page when the request is made.
• Empty balance: When your balance runs out, requests are refused until you top up. We never charge beyond your balance.
• Nature of the balance: Your balance is prepaid credit for the GreenTokens platform. It isn't a bank deposit or e-money, earns no interest, and can't be withdrawn or transferred.
• We may correct balances affected by billing errors, fraud, abuse or technical failures.

Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable once your balance has been credited, except where the law requires otherwise or in these cases:

• Duplicate payments.
• Billing or accounting errors that we confirm.
• Charges that weren't authorised by you, where the cause isn't a leaked key or account you failed to secure.

To request a refund, email support@greentokens.io with your account email, the payment ID from the Billing page, the amount and the reason. Used balance, completed requests, charges caused by your own configuration or choice of model, usage from a leaked key, and payments sent to the wrong address or network aren't refundable.

Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It lists the content and activities that are prohibited on the GreenTokens platform, how to report misuse, and what happens if the rules are broken.

Don't rely on outputs for medical, legal, financial, employment, credit or other high-stakes decisions without appropriate human review.

Your content

You are responsible for what you send to the models (prompts, instructions, files and other inputs) and for how you use the outputs.

• To fulfil a request, we send the relevant request content to the selected upstream model provider. We never store your prompts or the model outputs.
• We don't claim ownership of your inputs or outputs.
• Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable, and your rights to use them may also depend on the upstream provider's terms and the law.

Third-party services

The GreenTokens platform depends on third parties, including upstream model providers, a payment processor and infrastructure providers.

• Their outages, rate limits, policy or price changes, or regional restrictions may affect the service.
• Their own terms may also apply when you use models they serve or pay through them.
• We may add, replace or remove third-party services without notice.

Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe your use breaks these Terms or creates legal, security, fraud or payment risk, or harm to the platform, other users or third parties.

You can stop using the platform at any time and delete your account from Settings. Charges already incurred, and obligations that by their nature should continue, survive termination. Closing your account doesn't by itself entitle you to a refund of any remaining balance.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the GreenTokens platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that any model, provider or payment network will always be available, or that outputs are suitable for any particular use.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the GreenTokens platform is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.

Except where the law doesn't allow a limit, our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100.

Indemnity

If your inputs, your use of outputs, your use of the service or your breach of these Terms leads to a third-party claim, fine or loss, you agree to defend and indemnify the GreenTokens platform against it.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the product, our providers or the law change. We'll update the effective date on this page and give reasonable notice of material changes. Using the service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
